After you settle down and relax, the bike fitting is scheduled. Afternoon we will explore the city in a Tuk Tuk , a fantastic way to soak in the city’s vibrant atmosphere and rich history! Enjoy the scenic views and Chinese fishing nets of Fort Kochi beach. Visit St. Francis Church, The oldest European church in India. Explore the Jewish history and heritage in Jew Town. Detailed: Today, after a fulfilling breakfast, you will be driven to the starting point of your cycling ride. From here, you will start cycling to Thattekad, known for its rich avian diversity, including endemic and migratory bird species. The route covers 50 km and consists mostly of flat backroads with a few easy climbs, passing through lush plantations, irrigation canals, and villages. Along the route, you will see plantations of rubber, pepper, nutmeg, banana, and pineapple. Once you reach Thattekad, you will check in at a riverfront camp. Later, you will embark on a kayaking ride through the lowland forests of Thattekad. You will paddle along the banks of the Periyar River, a prime habitat for birds of various species. After kayaking, you can relax at the nature camp, which will provide you with an opportunity to experience the night vibes of Thattekad.

Day 3: Cycling to Munnar

The route consists of climbs and varying terrains, passing through dense forests, and winding roads. The dense forests, river streams and occasional waterfalls create a picturesque landscape. After cycling, you will be driven to your accommodation in Munnar. You will be passing through tea plantations and winding roads, encountering breath taking views of the valleys and waterfalls of the western ghats along the way. You will be staying at a hotel that offers a comfortable retreat after a day of cycling and travelling.

Day 4: Meeshapulimala Trek

Detailed: Today, after a hearty breakfast, you will hop into the jeeps and ride to the starting point of your trek. You will start your trek from Rhodo Valley. The valleys are covered with grasslands, pine trees, flowers, and small rivulets. Further into the trek, you will head to Meesapulimala, the second highest peak in South India, well known for its typical shola forest and grassland ecosystem. During the trek, you may have the chance to see Nilgiri Tahr, endemic to the Western Ghats, and small rivulets with freshwater along the way. As you reach the peak, you will be able to see a great view of the valleys. After the trek, we will drive back to Munnar. You will visit the tea museum in Munnar, a great place to learn about the history and process of tea production in the region. After that, you will go for a walk through the local markets to experience the town's culture and everyday life. After the day's exploration, you will head back to your hotel.
